You got the power to change the world today. You can make a decision, a choice or change habits today for a better world tomorrow.
The world need changes faster than ever, and I am not talking about new technologies, new frontiers or new investment opportunities
I am talking about the small changes in your daily life. The changes that invisibly reduces the energy pressure in the world.
You may not know it, but everything you own and use is related to energy.
If you buy a new grill every second year instead of every year is a reduced energy pressure.
If you travel once per year instead of four times per year is a reduced energy pressure.
If you optimize the production line compared to last year is a reduced energy pressure.
If you watch television together instead of on three television's is reduced energy pressure.
If you write policies requiring improved use of energy is a reduced energy pressure.
If you eat meat once per week instead of every second day is a reduced energy pressure.
If you own one car instead of two is a reduced energy pressure.
I assume you have an idea what I am talking about and can extrapolate this idea to other contexts of your life.
You may be a consumer, you may be a leader, you may be a policymaker, you may be you, you may be me. We all have an impact and have the power to change.
I am writing this because I still have a feeling that industries and policymakers are not moving toward a world that is enjoyable in 100 years. If it is because of defiance, ignorance, laziness or other reasons I don’t know, but I know you can make a change today. If we move together, then the world could be enjoyable in 100 years.
In the meantime, please read, study and share some of these topics related to the energy balance of the world:
Black body radiation
Albedo and heat absorption
Vibration modes of carbon dioxide
Methane and carbon dioxide half time
Troposphere heating and stratosphere cooling
Ocean acidification effect on shelled marine life
Thermal expansion of the oceans
World energy use per industry
Happy studying for a better world, in 100 years :)
